Galerna is a classic Scandinavian motor sailer, built in 1972 to entertain the Swedish Royal Family. She is very strongly built to Norske Veritas class and traditionally finished in teak and mahogany. Her Searocq stabilisers and 200 tons displacement ensure absolute comfort at sea. The vessel is a thoroughbred blue water cruiser with recent voyages from the Mediterranean, cruises to the Indian Ocean, South Pacific and the sub-Antarctic Islands.There is guest accommodation for up to nine in four separate cabins, each with its own ensuite facilities. The master cabin has a bath and large Swedish style sauna. Galerna will be based in Auckland in the summer and will winter in the South Island where Fiordland, Stewart Island and the Marlborough Sounds are her natural cruising grounds.
